It started when I realized I love to design experiences for humans. The comfort of designing an experience that almost feels like second nature to a user is something that gives me joy. As we move closer to digital experiences merging into our physical ones, I see the digital experience as a home for the user.
My goal is to make a digital experience feel so secondhand to the user it feels like they are returning to home for Thanksgiving: familiar, knows where things are placed, can navigate and comprehend, has space to create, and can invite others in.

Prior to becoming a designer, I graduated with a BA honors in Communications & Business Entrepreneurship from Carleton University. My BA added to my skillset as a designer. It helped me balance the importance of business requirements with a human centred user experience. I can understand the requirements of the business and build an experience that is viable, feasible, desirable, and sustainable, all while still being as human centred as possible - adding to the overall ROI for the business.
To strengthen myself as a designer, I am currently continuing my higher education journey in a Master’s of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. I want to understand UX Design beyond digital experiences. In my masters I learn how system infrastructures affect design and how we can use foresight and strategy to innovate for a better collective future. My masters impacts the way I see UX Design to create more strategic & sustainable experiences for humans, rather than quick fixes.

Prior to design, I graduated with a BA honors in Communications and Business Entrepreneurship from Carleton University. While I enjoyed both subjects, the process of uncovering solutions for consumers filled my cup most, and UX design gives me the opportunity to be part of designing that solution.

Aside from UX, I pride myself as a tea aficionado, although green tea will always be my favorite _____specific brand and brew you love____ ...No matter the country I’m currently visiting, nor the situation, you will always find a steaming cup of tea next to me, as I work away on Figma.
